Mark your calendars for the 2010 Elk River Rotary Club's fifth annual "Taste of Elk River" at the Lions Park Center complex on Thursday May 13th from 5 to 9 PM. This local charity event will give local restaurants, catering businesses and spirit vendors an opportunity to showcase their food and wine to the expected 1000 plus guests that will attend.

Guests who wish to attend this event are required to purchase a ticket which allows them to visit each food and spirit vendor. They will also be eligible to sign up for an opportunity to win door prizes, including wine and beer. Musical entertainment will be offered throughout the event*. Wine and beer tasting will only be available to those who have bought a ticket and are in attendance.

"Taste of Elk River" is becoming a premier community event for Elk River residents and the Elk River Rotary Club. Watch for more information about this great community event and make sure you seek out a local Rotary Club member to purchase tickets. It is sure to be a fun and extremely "tasteful" event for Elk River, a great way to enjoy lively entertainment, wine and beer tasting, and socializing with friends and colleagues.

Proceeds from this years event go to the development of the Elk River Parks River Walk. In the past our fundraising events support scholarships for Elk River High School students, the Handke Stadium renovation project, a new freezer for CAER - the local community food shelf and a number of other local and international organizations and groups. All in an effort to make our world and community a better place to live, work and play.
